Old Mill House – Room Descriptions

Open Plan Kitchen

A large, light and airy space with underfloor heating and dining for 10 and seating at the island for up to 6 people.
This room is the hub of the house and offers a super sociable space in which to cook, chat or curl up on the sofa.
All appliances are brand new (Bosch): there are two eye level ovens, a dishwasher and 5 ring induction hob.
There is also a breakfast cupboard which houses a microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine.
The large American style fridge freezer has plenty of space as well as filtered water and an ice making machine.
The cupboards are well stocked with a lot of crockery, glasses, pots, pans and serving dishes to make sure that keen cooks have everything they need.
The dresser at the far end of the kitchen houses a smart tv and there are games and jigsaws in the cupboards below.
The bespoke neon sign above the dining area gives the most wonderful glow to the room in the evenings or on a dull day.

Snug

A super cosy, yet light room with a log burner, large corner sofa, two separate chairs and a window seat.

There is a television to the right of the fireplace (not shown in the picture) and a DVD player in the cupboard.

This room is the perfect place to come to after a long walk on the beach and post Sunday lunch snooze!

Utility Room

The engine room of the house with washing machine, tumble dryer, traditional pulley clothes airer, wine fridge and cubby hole for a dog bed. There is also a loo.

Next door to the utility room is a boiler room with handy clothes rail for wetsuits etc and opposite that, a boot room with plenty of space to store boots, coats, beach toys/bags etc.

The boot room has its own access to outside where you will find the garden shower (with overhead rose and separate hand held wand) and dog bath. This makes the perfect set up for washing down salty children and sandy paws and allows as much of the beach as possible, to remain outside!

Handy storage bench between the boot room and boiler room

Master Bedroom

Superking bed, double bespoke wardrobe, chest of drawers, upholstered chair and smart television.

Door and steps down to the ensuite bathroom which houses a vanity unit with two basins, loo, tradtional tall heated towel rail (in addition to underfloor heating), freestanding double ended bath and separate shower cubicle. This is fitted with a spa-like rainfall head, perfect for a soothing and therapeutic shower.

Bed 2 – The Cabin Room

Fitted with bespoke cabin bunks and decorated with all things nautical to give the impression of sleeping in a ship’s cabin. The top bunk is a small single (making it better suited to a child) and the bottom bunk is a standard single.

The far wall has fitted wardrobes (with internal hooks, a rail and shelves) across its entire width.

Bed 3 – The Pink and Green Room

Zip and link mattresses so can be two singles or a superking.
Bedroom chair, chest of drawers and hanging rail

Bed 4 – The Round Mirrors Room

King size bed, built in wardrobes with drawer unit, shelf and hanging rail inside.
Traditional Victorian fireplace, bedroom chair and sliding door into ensuite bathroom.

In the ensuite, there is a loo, single basin unit, bath with overhead shower and separate hand held wand, heated towel rail/radiator.

Bed 5 – The Neon Room

Two single beds, embroidered Bombay Duck bench, chest of drawers, ‘hello sunshine’ neon sign (we like neon!) and hanging rail.

Outside there is a newly built boat store, a raised lawn and a large patio area for al freso dining and soaking up the sun.

Old Mill House faces south, resulting in the garden and patio being bathed in sunshine all day and well into the evening.

The garden is fully enclosed and well behaved dogs are welcome (the number will depend on size and breed but a maximum of two is most likely).
